1. About these terms
These terms apply when a school or other educational organisation orders Quiz Academy question sets from Quiz Academy, operated by Online Quiz League (“we”, “us” or “our”). By submitting an order, you confirm that you are authorised to place it on behalf of your organisation.
2. The Quiz Academy package
The standard package provides six sets of ready-written quiz questions for use over one school half term. The questions are designed for educational enrichment and competitive quizzing. Any curriculum or examination-board references describe the subject matter and intended level only; they do not indicate endorsement or guarantee examination outcomes.
We may make reasonable editorial corrections or presentational changes to the materials where necessary.
3. Orders and delivery
An order is placed when you submit the registration form. We may contact you to verify school details or authority to order before accepting it. The order is accepted when we confirm it or supply the materials.
Materials will normally be delivered electronically to the school email address supplied. Please contact us promptly if they do not arrive or cannot be accessed.
4. Price and invoice payment
The advertised price is £60 per half term for six question sets, unless a different price has been agreed with your school in writing. The invoice will state the total payable and any applicable tax.
No card payment is required when ordering. Unless the invoice states otherwise, payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date. Please quote the invoice reference when paying and contact us promptly if any invoice details are incorrect or disputed.
5. Permitted use
Your school receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the supplied questions internally for teaching, enrichment, quiz clubs and matches involving your students. You may make the copies reasonably required to run those activities.
You must not sell, publish, upload to a public question bank, distribute outside your organisation, or remove ownership notices from the materials without written permission. Matches against another participating school are permitted, but the question materials should not be supplied for unrelated reuse.
6. Buzz and third-party services
You may use the separate Online Quiz League Buzz tool or another method to run a quiz. Availability of an external service can occasionally be interrupted and is not guaranteed as part of the question-set licence. Schools remain responsible for supervising students and deciding which devices and online services are appropriate.
7. Cancellations and problems
If you wish to cancel, contact us as soon as possible. Because the package is delivered digitally, cancellation may not be possible after the materials have been supplied. This does not affect any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
If you believe materials are missing, inaccessible or materially incorrect, tell us promptly so that we can investigate and, where appropriate, correct or replace them.
8. Responsibility
Schools are responsible for how sessions are organised, student supervision, safeguarding, accessibility and suitability for their particular students. The materials are enrichment resources and are not a substitute for professional teaching, examination specifications or official revision materials.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful. Subject to that, neither party is responsible for losses that could not reasonably have been anticipated when the order was accepted.
9. Changes to these terms
The version in force when an order is accepted applies to that order. We may update these terms for future orders by publishing a revised version on this page.
10. Governing law
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, these terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of its courts.
